We recommend 6–8 hours — sleeping in it is ideal. For looser waves 4–5 hours works beautifully. Longer time and more sections means tighter curls.
Yes. The Curl Styler works on all textures including thick straight and coarse hair. You may need slightly more sections and a little longer wear time. Many of our thickest-haired customers are our biggest fans.
It works best on shoulder-length hair or longer. For shorter hair we recommend pairing it with the Tulip Hair Clip to help secure sections.
70–80% damp is the sweet spot. Soaking wet hair takes too long to dry and completely dry hair won't curl. Lightly towel-dry after washing then wait about 15 minutes.
The Curl Styler comes with the Tulip Hair Clip. A silk bonnet is not included but you can use your own. Many customers sleep without one and have great results.
